Three Memories (among many)

Created by Michael 5 years ago

1.  Meeting Maurice in Stockton Grammar School Uniform at the corner of Bishopton Lane and the High Street, Stockton whilst with his big sister (my Mum) c. 1950/51 - yikes!  I would be 4 or 5 at the time.

2.  A happy visit to Manchester in the mid 1950s when my Dad's Aunt Ida and Uncle Bob were also staying at St Andrew's Rectory.  I can distinctly remember meeting Maurice and Nora at Exchange Station with Dad and Uncle Bob.  The stay was a good base for one or more trips to Blackpool, the in holiday destination before cheap flights to the Med.

3.  Fast forward to 1980 and a kind B&B put up in Northants as Sue and I plus two little girls were heading for the Guernsey ferry.  I recall a lovely evening with the girls fascinated by one or more gerbils.

Very happy memories of someone always smiling, interesting and so alive.
